Stop comparing yourself to others

Who do you most frequently compare yourself to? Think of the last time you checked your Facebook or Instagram feed. Which updates made you feel envious, or made you feel as if your life paled in comparison? In turn, did any posts make you feel smug, or better than that person?

The comparison game—or war—is as old as humanity. Should be avoid scrolling through social media feeds as much as possible.

It seems obvious that it is bad to compare yourself to others, right? How is everything going here?

Increases your expectations

Einstein proved that if expectations grow, satisfaction decreases. And if you watch those who do better than you, you see how much they have, how wonderful and cool they are increases your expectations.

You are surrounded by illusions

First of all, because people deliberately show only their good side. It’s already known that people upload only the best and most beautiful moments to Facebook or Instagram, you’re probably doing that too. Celebrities and politicians care even more about their image. All those people you see in the media, on social media and even in REALITY are just characters created in your head, because we do not really know what troubles they are in and how unsuccessful they are. Secondly, we often simply do not notice or pay attention to the dark side. After all, we create illusions ourselves.

What we lack is visible everywhere. If there is a lack of money everyone around you will look rich, if there is a lack of happiness everyone will look happy, but in fact this is not the case.
